SC Pitch Challenge

Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge is an idea presentation contest for kids in grades K – 12.

It is a simple set of activities that help kids learn creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and presentation skills.

Pitch Challenge teaches essential workforce readiness skills and helps kids develop a mindset for 21st century careers whether or not they become entrepreneurs.

What You Need to Know

• Youth register and submit 30- to 90-second videos

• Deadline for uploading videos is April 30, 2021 by 11:59PM

• Business ideas can be for anything: product, service or social enterprise – for example custom keychains, lawn mowing, or pet therapy.

• Students may enter individually in one of three grade levels: K–4, 5–8, 9–12.

• Students will be judged on the creativity, quality and persuasiveness of their pitch.

• Adults welcome to get involved as mentors, judges and sponsors.

• Learn how afterschool programs can grow young entrepreneurs’ ideas and ventures.

• Winners will be selected and posted on the South Carolina Afterschool website.

• Prizes – Great prizes for winning entries!

-1st place winners in each grade level will receive a $50 Gift Card

-2nd & 3rd place finalist in each grade level will receive a $20 Gift Card
